Back In The E-World!

At long last our "stuff" has arrived in Americus, and I have moved in to our rental house! This also means that I have cable and internet at home again, so the blog updates will come much more frequently now.

Lets catch up for a while shall we.

This is our house in Americus. It's actually much bigger than it looks. Pictures of the interior will come after we get the mess cleaned up from moving in.

This is the Nissan truck that I drove on my tour through the gulf region. They donated something like 57 of these trucks for habitat's work in the hurricane affected regions. This one had 475 miles on it when I drove it.

This is part of the D'Iberville Mardi Gras parade that went in front of my hotel near Biloxi, MS. Yes-I now have lots of beads!

This is the real deal-New Orleans on fat Tuesday! OH MY DEAR LORD!! What a human stew. Everyone should experience it-ONCE.

It's hard to tell, but after about 5:00pm, it was body to body as you make your way in the french quarter. I'm not saying it was tight, but someone owes me dinner!

So what does a guy do to get all those beads?
Were you evaluating sites for builds on the gulf tour? Obviously you have taken this position at a very historical time...there will be Habitat pre-K and post-K (Katrina and Rita).
Wish it were possible to swing by Americus on the way to or from Hilton Head...could help you move a few boxes. So glad you are back blogging again. Love, Pat and Harry

3/22 Mark, I'm surprised that you were there at Mardi Gras and that you got beads, heh, heh. I have heard lots of stories about Mardi Gras; it would be interesting to experience at least once. I hope you and Laurie are adjusting to Georgia!
