First. . . Texas

Before we can begin thinking too much about Georgia, I have a "little" project in Bon Wier, Texas to complete. WNDU channel 16 has begun advertising the hurricane Rita rebuilding project with Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County. I will serve as project manager, and will lead many volunteers from Indiana and Texas in building a home in two weeks.

This is the destroyed trailer home of Brenda Faye Adams. We will build a 3 bedroom ranch style home in its place.

This is Faye, who moved the trailer next to her elderly, bed-ridden mother's home so that she could take care of her. During our assessment visit, I was struck by her strong faith in God, and her complete trust that He will take care of her in any situation.

We will appreciate your prayers and support as we carry the love of Jesus Christ in the form of a new home to the woods of Texas, and partner with the community there to build relationships and hope as well as a house.

God Speed my friends. Good luck in your journey. You are definetly stepping out of the boat in faith. May the good Lord bless you in your endeavour.
