People from our neighborhood came down in decorated wagons and bikes to enjoy a small parade, eat hot dogs grilled by the Long Beach Police Dept., and play games. This is the same park Laurie takes the kids to often to use the playground.

Here is the sack race. We couldn't get the kids interested in trying, but they had fun watching.

Here they are in "hot dog heaven".

Later, we went to a friend's house in Seal Beach for a 4th of July party. There was about 20 people there, and some good BBQ. We played pool, ping pong, slingball, and because he has two boys a few years older than Ryin and Adan, rode lots of skateboards, scooters, and other wheeled devices. Here is Ryin attempting to ride a unique type of skateboard. They also had a slip and slide.

Here is Adan riding his "sitboard" (skateboard). The driveway was sloped so he would sit and roll down the hill.

Saturday the fifth, we spent a fairly quiet day at home, capped off by a late afternoon swim in our pool.

Ryin is running for the gate to go home and eat supper, followed by Erin-his FAVORITE neighborhood friend. Adan, Laurie, and the neighbor and his son are in the background.

Shower time! Without getting obscene, I wanted to show the SoCal tan line.

The boys sleep together, and when Laurie went in to check on them, here is how they were sleeping. I don't know how they can be this cute sometimes, and then other times. . .well. . .
